Circle Guides for Cutting and Drilling
Circle Guides for Cutting and Drilling

Innovative circle guides for woodworkers, hobbyists, and machinists who need to cut and drill precise circular patterns.

We have designed two types of circle guides. One is used in conjunction with a router table and the other is used with a drill press. We also have designed a handy all-in-one protractor, compass, and ruler as an accessory tool. First batch of tools are scheduled to be delivered by December 15th, 2014, just in time for the holidays!

Circle Guides for Cutting and Drilling

Circle Guide for Router Table

Designed for precision and speed, the Circle Guide for Router Table attaches to a standard router table. Cut circles from 1/2 inch up to 39 inches in diameter in increments of 1/32 of an inch. Lock into predefined measurements for precise recall capabilities, or use infinite variability for manual measurement settings.

Unlike other circle guide tools, which require the operator to hold the router in hand and rotate the tool around a pin, our center pin design allows the operator to easily rotate the material around a pin. This eliminates the need to hold a router in hand, which greatly improves stability, setup time, and operation.

Circle Guide for Drill Press

Using the same centering pin design, we created a tool which attaches to a drill press and allows the operator to easily and precisely drill holes in circular patterns. Simply set the radial distance, drill, and then rotate. Lock into our predefined radial measurements for precise recall capabilities or use infinite variability for manual measurement settings.

Also provided are Degree Gears, which include pre-defined slots for specific angles (10, 15, 22.5 and 30 degrees). Using our Degree Gears, the operator can drill, rotate, lock, and repeat, all without having to measure and mark the material.

Degree Scale

This is a handy tool which can be used on its own as a compass, ruler, and protractor or used in conjunction with our other Circle Guide tools.

It can be used with either the Circle Guide for Router Table or the Circle Guide for Drill Press as a visual degree guide. The scale is designed to fit over the Centering Pin which allows the operator to attach the Degree Scale to the top of the material before cutting or drilling.  The operator can now visually assess the degrees of rotation.

How We Make Our Tools

We make all of our tools in-house. Our tools are made from high quality PVC plastic that is durable and works very well for CNC machining and laminating. Our lamination process involves printing the tool graphics on clear polyester film and then laminating the film with a special type of adhesive to the plastic plates. Next we take our plastic plates over to the CNC Machine for cutting and drilling. We also have specific CNC Machine programs to cut out the smaller parts which we run before hand. Once all the parts have been cut, we round the edges, remove burrs, clean, and test them before assembly and packaging.

Why We Need Your Help

We’ve decided to use Kickstarter for a couple of reasons.  First, we’d like to raise funds for purchasing additional equipment, such as an additional CNC Machine, which are fairly expensive. Having only one limits us in production and does not provide a backup in case one requires maintenance. Secondly, we believe Kickstarter can help us soft-launch our products to the market acting as pre-order system to woodworkers, hobbyist, and machinists, thus allowing us to order raw materials in bulk based on orders.

Over the past few years, we’ve spent many long days and nights to get us where we are today, but your support would be greatly appreciated and give us a needed boost of energy and excitement. Having a successful Kickstarter project would be a major accomplishment for us and would help solidify all of our hard work.

The Long Run

Kickstarter is just the first major milestone for us. We have much more to offer with regards to additional tools that are still in design, plus one of our future goals is to host a CPT Workshop Channel on Youtube, where we make frequent videos focused on projects involving circular patterns and cuts.

Our next major milestone after Kickstarter is to launch an on-line store where we will offer our tools for sale.
